I hope all of you have been working on your web presence while I have been away. It is time to start with the second section so put your seat belts on!
Step Four – Change all your pictures to the same image. This piece of advice is mostly for social networks. If you are a business then change it to your logo. If you are a person choose a clear head shot of yourself. This image has to actually look like you today! Don’t choose that picture five years ago when you were twenty pounds lighter. You want people to recognize you from your pictures so choose a recent one or get one done. Try and make it look as professional as possible so play with lighting and background to get the best picture. Check out Picassa (yes it is free!) for easy ways to make your picture even better.
Step Five – Cross link. Don’t be afraid to use Facebook to boost your Twitter or blogr, and your Twitter to boost your Facebook and blog or your blog to boost your facbebook and Twitter. You want people to notice you so the more avenues you are hitting the better your chances of being seen.
Step Six – Google trending. This tidbit is specific to blogging. Simply look up what is a trending search on Google and write about it! This takes a little creativity if you are a business because you need to make it link back to you instead of making it a random post. Every time that word is searched you get a little bit higher on the search engine because you are being hit!
I hope this helps and thanks for the Facebook message. I can’t wait to hear more from you all!
